The latest

Ok so I went to see Dr. W yesterday and he said he thinks I'm pregnant.. Who ever said he didn't have a sense of humor?? Anyway all is well and in place, his exact words while feeling my stomach for the size of my uterus were "boy this baby is growing!" So I guess that is a good thing.

I feel movement more and more every day and its great. I find that after I eat the baby kicks I guess the lima bean wants to thank me for the meal or something. Thanks to Aunt Shannon for all the lunch deliveries to work this will be a healthy baby. She buys my story when I tell her I need to eat something specific because the baby asked for it. LoL

If anything exciting happens between now and my ultrasound on St. Patty's Day (March 17th for the non-Irish) I will be sure to let you all know. I'm sure I will have something to tell you before then.

Ohh look

So we went to order the furniture yesterday and this is what the room will have in it. I love it and can't wait to see the real thing. I just want to keep you all in the know. That is what this site is for anyway.

Ok I'll be back on Thursday afternoon.

Folks, we've got movement

Ok so it's moving, it being the baby in my belly, umm growing belly that is. I was going to post this on Tuesday but I wasn't quite sure if that was it. Well after feeling the same thing spontaneously throughout the day I now know. How exciting. This is so cool. I suggest everyone try it. Kidding. This is really very cool though.

We get to hear the heart again next Thursday and I cant't wait. Then on March 17th the final ultrasound, 20 weeks. St. Patty's day, oh the red hair... I can't believe I will be 20 weeks. That's half way. This appointment would be when we would find out the sex if we wanted to but we have voted against it. Well if you don't hear from me before next Thursday I will be back after my appt. Don't get too excited though it is just a regular visit.

Thank you!!

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a minute out of my very busy day (ha ha) to thank you all for enjoying this site so much. I am trying to keep you interested but not bore you with too many details. Thank you all for all the comments I check them every single day.

If anyone has any fun name suggestions for boys (we know the girl) we would like to hear. Add them to the comments.

Mike is pretty stuck on Collin (this week). I like it too. I am a big fan of Irish names and since this kid is going to come out with a carrot top its name may as well match.

Thanks again for all of your input.

15 Weeks

So here is me at 15 weeks, the real 15 weeks since I said my last picture was 14 weeks then Dr. W went pushing my due date back. Anyway this is my very first maternity outfit and a very anxious Aunt Katie bought it for me. The pants are a little big so I had to roll the top but I'll tell ya you put on maternity clothes and suddenly this belly pops out. Not much else to catch you up on. I am still waiting for movement. They say with the first it should be somewhere between 16 and 20 weeks so 16 is Friday, we'll see what happens in the weeks to come.

Lima Bean Preview

Here is an original Chuck J. piece entitled "My Monkey-Footed Butch Grandkid" OK actually it's his version of potential outcomes for the lima bean. Bren would like to note that while she clearly got her monkey feet from her dad, the source of her graphic design talent remains a mystery.

Ok Ok!!

So I didn't mention Shannon staying in Maine for her honeymoon so that she could come and help me after my surgery. Well she did. She went away for a few short days and then returned home to be my nurse. Not only did she get to watch me sleep, put up with the nonsense talking on oxycodone, give me a manicure and pedicure, wash my hair and give me two very attractive pony tails but she also got to wash my butt because I couln't reach. Thanks Shan for all your support.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, two years ago (I can't believe it has been that long) she was also the one who was waiting in my driveway when I came home after the bad news of a miscarriage. Then she sat here that day with Ken and watched me cry until Lorraine, my mother in law, came over and almost fell on the floor when her chair tipped. We can always count on her to put a little light on the subject. Thanks!

So yes I have two great sisters and a great family and yes I am very caught up in the excitement so if I forgot anyone else sorry!!!

I feel like I'm excepting a grammy!!!
