Hi everyone, I'm cheating this week. This will be my 34 week picture... I'm ginormous!!
Thank you all for coming to my shower I had a great time and I love all of my gifts. Oh and for all the diaper genie givers I want you to know I did exchange 3 of them and was able to buy some very useful stuff for the baby. I'll have you know when I went to exchange them the ONE I requested was STILL on the registry. Go Babies R Us! Once I do laundry everything will be put away. I hope all who attended had fun. Sorry I was late there was a bit of miscommunication. Oops!
To my sisters and mothers (including the in-laws) thank you all so much for my shower. I really loved it!
Now bring on the baby!!!!

For all of the questions I have been getting about the whole Katie thing here is your answer. This baby's Aunt Katie started all the trouble by telling me when I found out I was pregnant to name the baby Katie either way. So I read through all of the old comments in the archive section up until the present day and here is what I found. For those of you who felt that you missed something... you did. If you don't read the comments at the bottom of each entry you are missing a lot. That is my favorite part of the site, which is the reason I keep asking you to leave comments. For those of you who haven't yet figured it out click on the 'comments' button at the bottom of the entry you want to comment on, pass the others (if there are any) and enter your information in the box below.
So anyway, this is what I found and might I add there were only 3 comments from this anonymous reader (KATIE) that didn't have something to do with her name. There are other comments relating to these that are in the sections corresponding with the dates listed. On the left of the main screen under archives all of the old entries can be accessed by clicking on the month.

6/16 Oh my God!! Katie is my name! I had no idea you were planning on naming your baby after me. I'm so excited!
So I saw the king of fertility today, Dr. W. He says everything looks great. My belly is measuring 33cm from top to bottom and it should be 1cm per week so being 33 weeks and 5 days that is close enough. I have to go back again in two weeks and every week after that. You know what that means.... baby is coming soon. I've only gained 2 pounds this month so I am really excited about that since I should be gaining steadily from here on out. The heart rate was at 146 today, it is staying within about 10 beats per minute consistently. Oh and I forgot to mention the baby is officially in the head down position. Again, you do know what that means right?? I'll be back with an updated picture this weekend.

On with the program only 7 weeks to go, who can believe that? I know I can't. This is me posing in my maternity tankini, the only thing that ends in "ini" that this body will see since the dawn of the stretch marks. Oddly enough the sister that is constantly yelling at me about skin cancer picked it out for me. Then I put it on and she asks how much radiation I think my baby needs. As long as he or she comes out with a good tan I'll be happy. Just kidding!! Honestly, I pray this baby gets Mike's skin tone and not mine. I burn with my sunroof open and Mike gets tan with 45 sunblock on.
Well anyway I have an appointment with the Dr. on Wednesday afternoon so expect to hear from me then. Maybe I'll even post my 34 week picture on time this week since I'm always a few days late. You'll hear from me Wednesday and maybe even again on Friday.

As you can see I couldn't stand my hair anymore. It was way too big and heavy. I had an appointment scheduled for so long I was counting down the days as if that were my due date. When I heard that one of the boys I had in daycare asked his mother "is her hair really that big?" I knew it was definitely time. Brenna agrees I guess since she told me I look like a homeless guy in the before picture of the back.
My hairdresser was very hesitant when I told him to chop it. Apparently the last pregnant lady that said that to him started bawling half way through the cut. I reassured him that there would be no crying and on to the sink we went. I feel like I lost 20 pounds... off of my head. Michael, if you are reading this THANK YOU!!!
So here are the sisters you have heard so much about. My website savior, Brenna on my left and my post-surgery nurse, Shannon on the right. For some reason we always pose in size order which also happens to be age order. We have always done it, maybe because our camera crazy mother trained us at a young age.
I just wanted to share of picture of them with you so that you could see the beautiful sisters I have been talking about.
Well here I am with 8 weeks left. I am not too happy today because I discovered my first stretch marks. They definitely weren't there last night so Mike seems to think the baby grew while I was sleeping. I'll go with that as long as it makes me feel better. I am still happy to be pregnant and I guess if I want to do this again soon I had better get used to it. So I don't have stretchy skin but I'm pregnant and that is all that counts. My bikini days are over but who wears a bikini to chase kids on the beach anyway right? Not to mention they should have been over a long time ago but better late than never. I'll deal with it. Shannon tells me it makes me a woman. I say it makes me a pork chop. Oh well!
The moment you've all been waiting for (besides the birth, of course). I hope you all like it, Mike and I absolutely love it. We both look in whenever we walk by. There is a good chance we are looking in disbelief more than anything else. I still can't believe there is going to be a baby living here. That is so crazy! I'm not sure when it will sink in, maybe around 3 or 4 o'clock on any given August morning.
Hello all, I just wanted to let you know that all of the old entries are on the left of the screen under the archives section. The latest is now on the top of the list. I hope you like the changes.
I will have new pictures of the room as soon as I download them. It is complete and I have washed and folded all of the things I have been collecting from the beginning. Now I'm ready to bring home the baby or maybe I should wait a few months.
