Sonny said duck yesterday while playing with a water toy that he has for the summer. When he looked up holding the toy out and said "uuuuuh" I said "duck" and he repeated "DUUUUUUUUUUCK". Me, Mike and Uncle Pat just about fell on the floor in disbelief. Today he started to walk with his walker wagon all by himself. He can even slow down and gain balance when his feet start going to fast. I would have a picture of him walking if I didn't forget my camera at Memere's house. Ugh! Oh well I can put up a picture tomorrow when I post the trick of the day. That's what it feels like at least.
Oh, and Great Grandma, Sonny and his mom and dad hope you are feeling better soon!!!

For today's bath we left the water on a little too long so it was splash city. Here's the fun. Oh, and thanks Aunt Donna for teaching him this great trick, when you come visit bring a mop....

Sonny had a doctors appointment yesterday and she was totally impressed with him. I'm not just saying that, I swear. He is still off the charts for his height at 31 and 1/4" and he is in the 75th percentile for his weight and 90th for his head. She said usually babies start slimming down at his age but he is staying pretty stable. I told her that was because he never beefed up so he can't slim down. He is allowed all foods now except nuts, shellfish and honey and he can even have milk!!!! Yay! She said as long as he has all his fruits and veggies for iron he can drink milk. When I told her he ate 9 jars of food a day plus stuff from our plates she almost fell off her chair. We are beginning to work on some sign language with him. Studies show it drastically decreases frustration when babies know basic signs to communicate their needs. We'll see how that goes, I'll keep you updated on our progress. Here are a few pictures of Sonny in his high chair doing his favorite thing...eating.

Sonny has a few new stunts. Apparently standing up is a piece of cake for him. Staying up... well, that's another story. He now stands up at every chance he gets. What he has yet to figure out is that when he lets go he's going to fall. This is why he now has his very first fat lip. For some reason he decided to crawl, I guess the wounded soldier wasn't doing it for him. Another tooth came through this Saturday, he's up to a grand total of 6 now. As we all know Teeth + Falling = Fat Lip, you will see below. We also saw a lot of relatives this weekend since we had a few functions to attend. You will see him here with his cousin (I think she is a 3rd cousin), Emma who is 4 days older than Sonny and also with another possibly third (maybe second once removed) cousin to be, Gabriel. You don't really see the baby, thank goodness since he isn't due to be here on earth until the end of June. Sonny was in a two man band this weekend also playing the pot drum with big cousin Adam. He also likes to eat big boy food now and he's a great sharer with his Daddy.
Geez, that took a long time for me to upload all those pictures to share with all of you. Now could you PLEASE leave me some comments. They have to be approved only so that you don't have to read all the spam I get on this site. Thanks!
Sonny's 5th tooth broke through on Saturday just in time for Aunt Shannon to get her diploma from the dental hygiene program. Yay Aunt Shannon and yay for Sonny!!!

So here's Sonny in a few random shots from the weekend. Oh, you'll also see him enjoying his first taco night. Sonny spent most of Mother's Day cuddling and sleeping while he tried to fight off a nasty bug, he's still pulling out of it but doing much better. By the way, he's an excellent driver....

You will see below that there is no specific time to play peek-a-boo. Sonny thinks that any time of the day or night is great, even bedtime. I'd like to see you say goodnight and walk out. Oh, and maybe the company who made this high chair should have put more thought into the "convenient" pop off dishwasher safe tray. I'm not sure they realized that this would be used for kids. Hmmm, maybe some type of CHILD SAFE locking device would be better...but hey I'm not inventor.

Okay, so I put Sonny down so that I could brush my teeth before his bath and this is what happened. He must have been embarassed that I posted that he didn't pull himself up for the picture the other day. I guess he showed me.
