Cashew Update

Here is the 20 week ultrasound we've been waiting for. The baby's heartbeat was 150 bpm and it weighs about 14 ounces (estimated by long bone measurements). You can go back in the archives (March) to check Sonny's stats at this point. It was about the same but his heart rate was 4 beats lower. Anyway, all looks great this one decided to show feet too just like Sonny did at his 20 week ultrasound. The baby must be listening to Sonny's new body parts movie becuase it pointed to its nose, the shadow over the face is the hand. I have attached pictures of its foot and face oh and me at 21 weeks.

Of course I can't leave out the big brother, here are some pictures of him before and during his awful cold and FIRST ear infection. Ugh!! The first picture is Sonny doing the sign for cup.

Beach trip

I took these photos last night at the beach. I'm not in any for two reasons, one I looked like a sea hag and two I was the photographer. The one of Sonny pointing is when he spotted a "brrr" a.k.a. bird. Yeah, we know what he means. He now calls me Steph instead of Mama, we are having a bit of a problem with that. He also yells "Maaaaa" for Mike. When he starts calling his grandparents by their first names we'll have a real problem. Everything seems to begin with D, M or B but he knows all kinds of words and his sign language is improving by the day. He now knows the sign for cup, up, all done, and he is working really hard on I love you. He also knows the one for bear (because that's helpful to us). I don't know if I told you all but he now has two molars on the bottom so he can have some steak soon. Until then we'll stick to pickles, his favorite food. Oh, I forgot to mention lemons.
News on the cashew in 4 days.

14 months already

I thought I would update the photos there aren't too many as I have had my hands full with a few extra kids for the past month. Sorry about the slacking. Here is Sonny in his very appropriate costume. The photographer told him "boy, you make a great monkey." I said "yeah you should see how well he can climb on the kitchen table." What better costume that this? Oh, and yes he has a Dad but due to lack of cooperation (on Sonny's part) I sat in on his last photo. That is why there is one of the two of us and before I pack on another 25 pounds I thought I would take the opportunity.
All is well here otherwise, the cashew is kicking away. I have an ultrasound next Tuesday. This is the big one... to know or not to know. Hmmmm. I don't want to know but Mike does he is praying for rain so he doesn't have to work that day and he can come and find out. Unfortunately though if Mike wins NOBODY else will know until March so don't bother asking. The answer to "what are you having?" will remain "a baby."

The Dr.'s In

Well, Sonny has mastered eating with a fork and taking off his bib when he's done. He's also practicing to be a Dr. telling you "ahhh" to check your mouth and everything. Apparently kissing his mother is not cool anymore so I miss out but he'll kiss anyone else. He tries to bite my lips instead so if his next pictures show him missing his front teeth you'll all know why. I'm kidding nobody needs to report me. Anyway, all is well here. The cashew is kicking away, I felt if from the outside for the first time today. That's exciting, now Mike can feel it kick too.
