A New York State of Mind

Hi, it's Bren. Steph is too busy to get these photos up in a timely fashion so I've taken over. Sure, I've got control issues. I can live with that.

There are a ton of pictures so I've made a gallery which you can see here. It covers Friday through Tuesday with our and the kids' adventures on Long Island and then Steph, Mike and the family back home enjoying the first sunny day (I just typed "sonny day") in what seems like a millenium. In the photo below Sonny's actually saying "Hey, I think it's gone from a drizzle to a light mist" and kids don't need to know that much about weather at 1.9 years old.

We all had a great time and it was so good to see Gammy, Gramps and Uncle Bill and Aunt Donna. Our cousins are all growed up and beautiful and fun to be around and in general it was a giant, three-day love fest until Steph wanted to kill me for not taking the ferry home.

Peace,
Bren

Father's Day

I hope all you dads had a great day, we did! Here are some pictures from the past few weeks.
A quick update on the kids.
Sonny is doing well, still waiting for those 2 year molars, talking more each day and loving his sister. We went to the doctor today to get his huge, swollen, red, hot bugbite checked out and it's fine he just needs some Benadryl. We've been to the beach a few times since the weather has been nice and he really likes it, all except for the "duht" or dirt that he gets on his feet clearly demonstrated in picture #11.
Michaela is doing well, I threw her on the scale at the doctors office while we were there and she is 12.6. Her little personality is developing rapidly. She smiles at just about anyone or anything. She has grown attached to this little fuzzy bunny thing. She likes to sleep with it on her face which is a bit scary so I have to keep a close eye on her. She also loves the bink of course or anything else she can suck on, fingers, blankets, bibs, or anything else that passes her mouth. I got the ok to start her on cereal today.
So that's the update. Here are some pictures. I'm not putting up all of them tonight because A. I'm about ready to fall asleep sitting up and B. There are far too many. You'll get to see them all eventually. Enjoy!
Please email me with typos.

As far as the kiddies go, they are doing well. Michaela had her first bath given by Da-Da last Sunday. Luckily she had Sonny standing by to make sure everything was going well and to get the dirt out of her toes of course, that's his specialty. He takes appoinments if anyone is interested. I weighed both of them last night and Sonny is an even 30 pounds and Michaela is 13. I think I already told you Michaela found her hand last Friday. Now she is putting anything that touches her hand into her mouth. Hopefully her brother doesn't try to feed her anymore change.
Okay, I give! It's been very hard to keep up with posting all my new pictures. First of all I have twice as many and second of all I have a new camera. Well, here are some pictures. I have been working very hard on Mike's Father's Day present so I haven't really put too many pictures on my computer but do you really care? This is what I have. Enjoy!

Bling bling

The moment I have been waiting for, Michaela got her ears pierced. Yay! It's a shame that you can't see her earrings looking straight on because her cheeks are too big. She also found her hand today. I caught her laying on my bed completely cross eyed looking at her hand like she was wondering where the heck that thing came from. Michaela is also pulling on dangling toys not yet putting them in her mouth but she is touching them which is a big step. Sonny is adding more and more words to his vocabulary all the time, when he sees money now he tells me "pay" and when we go to the mailbox he says "mail" sounds more like mayo but I know what he's talking about. He says about a million other things those are new ones. On with the photos. Enjoy!
