The Lima Bean Diaries

Really, it's August?

Okay so here are all the things we've done this summer. It's been fun despite all the rain. We're making the best of all the sunny days. The kids are doing well. Sonny learned to tie his shoes last night. The two of us stayed up until 10:30 so he could master shoe tying. He's ready to roll now and even though it was 80 degrees today he had to wear sneakers. Can you guess why?
Michaela is doing well too, just as sassy as ever. She is as smart as a whip and making the most of summer.
Lilly, is saying a few more words now still a far cry from her sister at this age but who's comparing? She is still just as cute and very funny. She tells everyone she meets da da da day and in her language that means have a nice day. She also blows strangers kisses, we're working on that.
Anyway, aside from that nothing new and exciting. We will be celebrating Sonny's 5th birthday and then it's off to school. I'll be crying my eyes out that day or maybe that whole week or month or heck maybe until next summer. I can't believe he's going to be exposed to the world of little dirty school kids. Yes, I said little dirty school kids. They make me nervous, the tendency he has to follow makes me more nervous. Let's pray for the best and some nice little friends. Ahhh!
